It had been confirmed by Product
testing that hard coking coal at the Makhado project for which the Indian
market was being focused, John Wallington,
Coal of Africa CEO said on Monday.
The company, which expected
India to play a bigger role as a coking coal consumer in the future, would be
taking the Makhado product through to 10 to 15 potential consumers on the sub-continent.
With two-thirds of the global
coking coal market served by product from the Queensland province in Australia,
it was committed to the rapid development of its coking coal assets in South
Africa and the high efficient coal crusher.

opportunities to add value to the Mooiplaats and Woestalleen assets.
